About National Choreography Month (NACHMO)
NACHMO is your yearly choreographic kick in the pants conceived by Sharyn Korey and Anna Brown Massey. Nachmo spurs dancers to choreograph by challenging you to work against a deadline. Choreographers have one rollicking month from January 1st to the 31st to forge new steps and complete their pieces.

We're well into rehearsals for our performance at NACHMO Boston in February (and deep into planning the show). We are continuing to explore being tethered to other people, things, times and places. Here are some rehearsal shots for our new work in progress by Stan Czesniuk and some video. Leave some feedback in the comments-- it's NACHMO!
Continued exploration of the use of social media through photos, videos and writing to flex our choreographic muscles...
Write 3-5 sentences that describe a dance that does not exist from the perspective of someone viewing it
"Two dancers cross stage running; as they cross, the first starts to walk, the other finds and explores a kind of swirl of air that picks leaves up off the streets. The other interrupts with a fallen hug around the hips and drops to the floor on their side. The first loops one leg over, tucking behind to roll down to the other's side."
Create a looping video of one body part moving, with no clear beginning or end
Describe a movement in 125 characters
"right arm raises to the top bends over head. gather. land on left, swing through and open to the right. bee wings to stomach."
Take a series of 3-5 full body photos of interesting poses
Take 3-5 photos of points of contact between two people
